The safety and welfare of our customers, brand partners and employees remain paramount and our re-opening is subject to any further Government regulations and guidelines. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates accordingly.

On arrival at York Designer Outlet please use the North and South Entrances to access the Centre. We have temporarily closed our East and West entrances to help us manage visitor numbers whilst adhering to social distancing and safety measures. Please follow the directional signage and observe the queuing system outside individual stores.

We can confirm that many of our food and drink partners have re-opened, with restaurants and cafes offering takeaway and some now offering dine-in options. Please see below for more information on the measures in place or visit individual restaurant pages for individual booking policies and new ways of operating. Our toilet facilities including baby changing are open, however, our children’s play area remains closed in accordance with government guidelines.

The safety of our employees and customers is of the utmost importance to us. The social distancing and safety measures we are taking are in line with the most up-to-date advice from our local health authorities and in accordance with Government guidelines. This includes managing visitor numbers within these guidelines to regulate footfall and the introduction of socially distanced queuing systems.
We are pleased to confirm that many of our food and drink partners have re-opened. In line with Government guidelines, we will be increasing cleaning where food and drink are consumed and operating queuing systems where appropriate. While we will have seating available in our Food Quarter, this will be limited and monitored by our facilities team. We will update the individual restaurants’ pages on our website regularly, so please check online for further information before planning your visit.
The safety of our employees and customers is paramount. The social distancing and safety measures we have taken to re-open our Food Quarter are in line with the most up-to-date advice from the health authorities and in accordance with Government regulation. We have provided hand sanitisers throughout the common areas of our centre and have adopted a cleaning regime that ensures public spaces and high touch points are regularly disinfected, this includes areas where food and drink will be consumed. We are implementing additional social distancing measures, including queuing systems in our Food Quarter, to ensure we are operating as safely and effectively as possible.
While there may be queuing systems in place, it is not necessary to book at takeaway eateries. Dine-in restaurants will have individual booking policies, so we suggest contacting the restaurant team in question to confirm and avoid disappointment. We will update the individual restaurants’ pages on our website regularly, so please check online for further information before planning your visit.

Dear Guests,

The past few weeks have indeed been very unsettling for us all, and I hope that you and your families are well.

I am very pleased to be able to confirm that we have re-opened our Centre and we look forward to welcoming you back to York Designer Outlet soon.

To ensure the safety and welfare of all our guests and employees we have put in place a number of necessary social distancing guidelines so that you can visit all of your favourite brands safely. Your health and safety is paramount to all of us at McArthurGlen - and I want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

In tribute to the great work of our NHS and key workers, we have created a “rainbow” themed plant installation near our North Entrance. Do pop by and see this if you have time.
