Menswear Edit
Menswear
takes a retro twist for AW20 with 70s inspired suits, oversized cardigans, and head-to-toe corduroy all making a comeback. Colour pops and abstract patterns are also in, with Gucci, Todd Synder and Etro, among the menswear designers turning up the volume on brightness in their collections.

Opt for colourful polo necks, layered beneath neutral suits or switch the look around with a bright blazer (double breasted is this season’s cut) paired with a subdued shirt from the likes of Armani or Polo Ralph LaurenContrasting is the key to balancing this look so be sure to offset bright colour pops with brogues and satchels in earthy tones of caramel, chocolate and oat

Corduroy is also filtering back into wardrobes for AW20, with everything from long-line coats to hats and blazers sporting a corduroy treatment. If head-to-toe is too much for you, a simple blazer paired with jeans or corduroy trouser from the likes of Paul Smith offers a subtle nod to the trend. Top it off with beanie, deerstalker or fedora from The Kooples for an extra layer of warmth.

Elsewhere, hyper-functional sportswear was a key trend showcased on the runways of Fendi, Valentino and Versace. This casual look is great for weekends or working-from-home days, combining utilitarian style with functional details, for a more mature take on contemporary streetwear.
