Celebrating their 75th anniversary
Celebrate the iconic brand by adding key pieces to your wardrobe.
The story of adidas began in the 20s when Adi Dassler began to create the first shoes in his mother's laundry. In 1924 he founded the "Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik" together with his brother Rudolf and specialized in the production of sports shoes. They celebrated their first Olympic success as early as 1928: Lina Radke, an athlete equipped by her brothers, won the gold medal in the 800-meter race at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam. After the Second World War, the Dassler brothers separated and on August 18, 1949, Adi Dassler was born the adidas brand that immediately gained international fame when the German national football team became world champions for the first time in 1954 wearing boots signed by the brand. Alongside football, the feat stood out above all for running. In 1967, American Katherine Switzer became the first woman to run a marathon, running in adidas shoes. Since then, the adidas brand has grown, establishing itself as an iconic brand for sports and streetwear all over the world.
Whether it’s streetwear or sportswear, adidas iconic trainers and sports kits are the go-to for staying comfy and stylish. This edit celebrates their 75 years with key pieces we all should have on our wardrobe.
