From the well-known Banksy, Obey and Mr. Brainwash to names from the most current scene such as the Sicilian-Milanese TvBoy, Street Art Evolution aims to explore the many expressions of a movement that has revolutionized the contemporary art scene with paints, acrylics and spray cans.
The exhibition invites us to reflect on the meaning and role of street art in the modern era and the capacity for large-scale communication.
On display are unique works and limited edition silkscreen prints on paper, including cult images such as Obey's "Make Art Not War" and new iconographies such as PichiAvo's urban mythology that combines classical art and graffiti, images taken from Greco-Roman statuary and bright colors.
