OUR IMPACT
We are striving to protect the environment and reduce the direct environmental impact of our operations.
As part of this, we have launched the "Recycle Your Fashion" initiative to breathe new life into your old clothes.
How does it work?
1 - Simply drop your pre-loved items off at our Guest Services Suite.
2 - All the items collected are either donated to those in need or recycled.
3 - As a thank you, you will receive 10% off for your next visit to the centre.
Coming Soon!
We are working this year to install solar panels on the roof of the centre to enable us to power all guest spaces in the centre with renewable energy.
More ways we are making changes
Join the Pipe
We have installed two Join the Pipe water points to give all guests access to free water refills and encourage the reduction in the use of single use plastic bottles.
Rainwater Harvesting
Our Rainwater Harvesting system collects and filters rainwater which is then used in our toilet block closest to Guest Services to provide a sustainable water supply, saving an estimated 586,000 litres each year.
Coffee to Compost
As part of our commitment to reduce catering waste, we partner with food and beverage outlets to recycle their used coffee grounds as garden fertiliser. Why not visit Guest Services to pick up a bag to take home!

OUR COMMUNITIES
Each year we partner with a local charity to support the vital work they do, help them to raise funds and support the work they do within our community.
For 2023, we partnered with Tenovus Cancer Care. As part of this we hosted the Bridgend Sing With Us Choir on numerous occasions and completed a series of 25 mile cycling challenges all to raise funds.
For 2024/2025 we have partnered with Maggie's who offer free support at their centres in Cardiff and Swansea to anyone who is dealing with cancer and their families. Maggie's will be in centre to fundraise throughout the year, most recently for National Dog Day and our teams will be holding their own fundraising initiatives.
Keep an eye out on social media to see how you can get involved with everything we have coming up!
As well as our charity partners, we also run various free community initiatives throughout the year. Most recently, we held our second careers fair, with over 260 local people attending and our free school uniform exchange shop, where over 700 item of pre loved school uniform were diverted from landfill and made available to people for free.
Coming Soon!
Our centre teams will soon be undertaking volunteering days to support our local communities.
