Aberavon Beach

Aberavon Beach
Being from Port Talbot, I have fond memories growing up in the area and regularly going to the beach with my family. I feel so lucky to have a place like this right on my doorstep where I can go to regardless of the weather, enjoying cosy winter walks with a coffee, or meeting friends in the summertime. I love that there’s a contrast between the beach, the sea, with the steel works in the distance. This will always be one of my favourite places, and did I mention it's just a short 30 minute drive from McArthurGlen Bridgend?

Sgwd Gwladys/Lady Falls

Sgwd Gwladys

We know that Wales, especially the Brecon Beacons, is famous for the gorgeous mountains and many wonderful waterfalls. The Lady Falls is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons and waterfall country in the Ponteddfechan area of the Neath valleys. It’s a stunning walk to the waterfall which is really easy to get to.

McArthurGlen Bridgend

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend

From food lovers to shopaholics, there’s something for everyone at McArthurGlen, with so much choice of over 70 brands, at up to 60% less than the RRP all year round. My personal favourites are Carvela, Superdry, the Cosmetic Company and, of course, my favourite chocolates from Lindt. I recently bought a jacket from Superdry for £42.45, which was amazing value, as the RRP was £84.99, and is perfect for going on my favourite walks. After a day spent shopping, I love to take advantage of the many food options (with 10 eateries to choose from!), this time I stopped for a Wagamama!

Rhossili Bay sunset

Rhossili Bay sunset

Rhossili is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in Wales, and in my opinion in the world. It can be found 19 mils from Swansea, and has been awarded as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There’s nothing better than coming here to catch the most gorgeous sunset. Although the Gower is mainly known for its stunning beaches, there’s also plenty to do on land from rock climbing and abseiling - another fond memory of my childhood going on school trips to the Gower.

Swans

Swansea City Football Club

Sport has always played a big role in my life and I love nothing more than going to watch a game of football when I get the chance. Win or lose there’s just something special about a match day at Swansea City. Growing up I would regularly attend matches here, and more recently I was lucky enough to also present SwansTV Live, where I worked alongside some of the players I have grown up watching, which was a dream come true!
