ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Tracey Lea Sayer and I have been a stylist in the fashion industry for over 30 years. Going to the Westend shopping is like a busman’s holiday for me. I spend my days trawling the high street for my day job, so, when it comes to a little personal retail therapy, I like no hassle one-stop-shopping and I also love designer brand quality pieces at affordable prices.

These are my top tips for getting the most out of your McArthurGlen Designer Outlet shopping experience.

The Investment Piece

1. The Investment Piece

If you are going to invest in a forever piece, why pay full price for it? McArthurGlen
Ashford is perfect for that special purchase. I have wanted a sheepskin coat for years but can never find the one I want for the price I want it. I have now! Getting to know your style is really important, that way you won’t waste money on pieces that will just sit in your wardrobe. If you have wanted something season after season for quite a few years you can guarantee it will be well worn and much loved!

WEAR IT TO… Go for a lovely pub lunch in the middle of the countryside.

Dopamine Dressing

2. Dopamine Dressing

You really can dress yourself happy! Since I let my hair go grey, I find that wearing colour not only looks better against my skin, but it also boosts my mood. Dopamine dressing is actually a thing! This colour is called Marjorelle Blue, the amazing blue that Yves Saint Laurent used to paint his garden in Morocco. I feel fantastic in it! That is the power of wearing a great suit.

WEAR IT TO…. Make an entrance in the office when you mean business.

WFH in style

3. WFH In Style

Just because I work from home 2 days a week doesn’t mean I don’t want to feel professional! Layering a cosy knit over a smart shirt and wearing smart grey trousers that have an elastic waist means I feel ready to tackle today but can also feel really comfortable at the same time. Comfort is key for me as I get older as are good quality pieces that I can wear season after season.

WEAR IT TO… Zoom from home in style while being warm enough to keep the heating turned down!

The Hi-Lo

4. The Hi-Lo

Don’t be scared to mix up styles. The juxtaposition of two looks like smart and casual will give your look a cool edge. This look mixes it all up. The boyish sweatshirt has a feminine collar. The casual joggers are made in luxurious wool. And finally, these off duty pieces are worn with a smart oversized blazer. Hi-LO, so wrong it is totally right!

WEAR IT TO… Go shopping at the weekend when you want to feel put together but still comfy.

Try Things On

5. Try Things On!

I would have never tried this jumpsuit on, if the lovely Faye who works at Sandro hadn’t raved about it, because I tend to stay away from black. The cut is amazing! I have layered a blouse underneath because I find black drains me now and adding a lighter colour around my face gives me a lift. It is good to go out of your comfort zone sometimes, you might just be in for a nice surprise.

WEAR IT TO… Go from day to night for a special occasion over Christmas.
