CASERTA ROYAL PALACE
The majestic Royal Palace of Caserta, the Italian Versailles, a masterpiece of 18th-century architecture, with its monumental park, fountains, and water features, is 10 minutes far from La Reggia Designer Outlet. Designed by Luigi Vanvitelli in 1752, the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta was created to be the nucleus of the new capital of the Kingdom.
REAL BORGO OF SAN LEUCIO
San Leucio is a located 3.5 km far from Caserta and is known for its historical and artistic reasons. The royal site has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The village of San Leucio is located on the route that leads from Caserta to Caiazzo and the Volturno valley. Along this road, there is Piazza dell Seta, a semicircular space in the background of which is the entrance gate to the Colony and the Belvedere.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF POMPEI
Just 47 km away, at the foot of the Vesuvius National Park, there is the archaeological site of Pompei, one of the wonders of the world. Ancient Pompei stands on a plateau about 30 meters above sea level, formed by a flow of Vesuvian lava, controlling the valley of the Sarno river. The excavations began in 1748, during the reign of Charles of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies, with the main intention of giving prestige to the royal house.

The National Archaeological Museum of Naples is among the oldest and most important in the world for the richness and uniqueness of its heritage and for its contribution to the European cultural panorama. The origin and formation of the collections are linked to the figure of Charles III of Bourbon, on the throne of the Kingdom of Naples since 1734, and to his cultural policy: the king promoted the exploration of the Vesuvian cities buried by the eruption of 79 AD and oversaw the construction of Farnesian Museum in the city, transferring part of the rich collection inherited from her mother Elisabetta Farnese from the residences of Rome and Parma.
