From timeless checks to futuristic puffer jackets, elevate your wardrobe with our curated guide to the season’s key trends.

CHECK MATE
Men’s tailoring has never been in a better place, and for autumn designers went all-in on classic checks in soft neutral tones. Joop!, Tommy Hilfiger and Tiger of Sweden led the sartorial way with heritage checks in casually tailored silhouettes. Trend hounds will want check suits by windsor. and BOSS in muted tones paired with Chelsea boots or chunky brogues, but you can dip your toe in with a check wool coat by Woolrich or even just a plaid scarf. Checks work casually, too, especially when they’re bolder
colours: standout check sweaters by Joop! and Marc O'Polo or vibrant check trousers by Scotch & Soda make a strong statement, especially when contrasted with relaxed-fit streetwear shapes and your favourite sneakers.

BIG VOLUME DENIM

Praise the fashion lords - baggy jeans are back! From Heron Preston to Louis Vuitton, loose-fitting jeans are very much on the autumn/winter menu so dine out on them at Designer Outlet Neumünster. Low-waisted styles by the likes of GANT, Levi's & Timberland come with a healthy dose of laidback 90s nostalgia. Look for distressed elements in a multitude of washes. The look is uber casual, which makes hoodies by Diesel and Superdry a no brainer, or you can double down on denim with a vintage trucker jacket layered over a loose-fit tee. Keep your accessorises on a streetwear tip, with belt bags by Calvin Klein, high tops by Puma and Nike and finished off with a studded belt and baseball cap.

VARSITY COOL

If you want proof that you can never be too cool for school, then this season’s preppy trend is it! It’s the perfect time to flex your vintage polos with contemporary varsity jackets and plug into some 50s nostalgia. The key item is the letterman jacket, and you can find great examples in bold colours at the likes of BOSS and GANT. Complement the jacket with straight-leg chinos by Brax or go for a sportier look with trackpants by Calvin Klein and Tom Tailor. Either way, keep it colourful and relaxed, tapping into collegiate icons like the striped rugby shirt. Baseball caps and high-tops by Nike and UGG keep the streetwear cachet high and are a slick way to finish off the look.

ALL PUFFED UP

Puffer jackets have been big (literally) for a few seasons now and that trend took another step forward with oversized futuristic styles in a host of vibrant colours. They’re a great investment too as you can layer them over virtually any style of outfit. Oversized short puffer jackets by Calvin Klein and Napapirji are perfect for both smart and casual looks, whereas long-line styles by The North Face are real statement-makers. Look for details such as funnel necks, big hoods, or interesting quilt patterns and belted details. Use the jacket colour to create a tonal look - pair a beige puffer with neutral check trousers for example. Puffer bags are a cool way to finish off the look, too, along with tonal gloves and chunky shoes.

black

BACK TO BLACK
Head-to-toe black has always been one of the fashion pack’s go-to looks and this season is no different. On the formal front, tailored wool trousers by s.Oliver and Tom Tailor are a great way to kick off the look, but if you really want to invest in this timeless trend then opt for smart leather styles by the likes of Belstaff and Woolrich, or a black blazer with leather lapels for textural panache. A band collar shirt by Lacoste or a rollneck sweater by BOSS make for great pieces you can also wear casually with a long black coat or a biker jacket. Add a sprinkling of silver
jewellery for a gothic contrast and use sneakers or military boots to keep the look contemporary.
