Fashion meets opera at Noventa di Piave Designer Outlet

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Noventa di Piave has teamed up with one of Italy's most prestigious musical and cultural institutions – La Fenice Theatre in Venice – to bring a series of free events and exhibitions to the three million local and international shoppers who visit the outlet every year.

The first of these, 'Fashion Meets Opera', is a showcase of the most important and beautiful costumes from La Fenice's stage performances. Curated by Carlos Tieppo, head of the theatre’s tailoring and costume department, the exhibition is open at Noventa during the month of February 2016.  It is also part of the official programme of the famous Venice Carnival that is so popular with both Venetians and tourists.

The three-year partnership between La Fenice and McArthurGlen comprises a whole range of cultural events for all age groups.  In June, children will be able to come to the centre for entertaining musical education activities and in July, during McArthurGlen Italy’s legendary summer music festivals, the Noventa village will host ‘The Spirit of the Music of Venice’ featuring musicians from the theatre.  During the summer, the elegant atmosphere of the centre will be enhanced by special classical music concerts performed by La Fenice artists.
