It’s not just the catwalk shows that get the city buzzing and the photographers busy snapping away; the city streets are the real runways when it comes to this season dressing. From midi-length pleats to over-sized sweats with pops of cherry red and sweet icy pastels; this autumn the streets were all about textures, rich fabrics and lots of delicate details.
Simple, long silhouettes were teamed with statement shoes, patent boots and lavish embroidery with floral motifs and hints of 70s-esque retro florals - with a whisper of prairie style quilting and geometric child-like crochet.
Shades of red and hues of burgundy, that echoed the runways of AW17, were spotted alongside staple biker-jackets, wide-legged trousers and more adventures shades of clashing primary-colours, with a subtle murmur of animal print thrown in for good measure.
Bags were worn small, with the ever-faithful cross-body still in front running - but this season joined by a colourful array of mini top-handle totes and satchel bags.
